Applications for 2025-’27 WCSS Board of Directors Being Sought
Wondering how you can take your leadership skills to the next level and become a voice for social studies education in Wisconsin.  The Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies Board of Directors is seeking applications for any Wisconsin social studies educators who are interested in being part of a dynamic board of directors promoting the importance of social studies education at all levels within the state.  

Responsibilities of Regional Delegates include:
  • Represent and communicate with WCSS members and other social studies educators within the region elected to represent
  • ​Be a member of WCSS 
  • Actively participate in an annual summer retreat (2025, 2026, 2027), a fall meeting, a winter meeting, the pre-conference meeting, and a spring meeting
  • Attend the WCSS Conference each March
  • Participate in Committee Work
  • Other duties as needed
Responsibilities of Vice Presidents include:
  • Be a member of WCSS 
  • Actively participate in a summer retreat (2025, 2026, 2027), a fall meeting, a winter meeting, the pre-conference meeting, and a spring meeting
  • Attend the WCSS Conference each March
  • Participate in Committee Work
  • Other duties as needed
  • Serve on 3 standing committees as assigned by President
  • Aid in the planning and coordination of state and area meetings

Responsibilities of President-Elect include:
  • Must have previously served on the WCSS Board of Directors
  • Chair the Conference Planning Committee with the advice and assistance of the Executive Board and Conference Planning Committee
  • ​Preside over the Executive Board in the absence of the President
  • Provide report on conference planning to the board of directors
    ​
